The Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos, today restored the lawmaker, Hon. Amobi Ogah, representing Isikwuato Umunneochi Federal Constituency in Abia State, who was earlier removed by an election Tribunal.
The National Assembly Election Tribunal that sat in Abia, had ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to immediately withdraw the Certificate of Return issued to Ogah, the Labour Party candidate and re-issue same to Onyejeocha who flew the flag of All Progressives Congress, at the election.
But the Appellate court today, ruled that the appeal of the Labour Party candidate was meritorous and allowed same, thereby setting aside the ruling of the lower court.
