As the race for the Anambra North senatorial seat heats up, distinguished Chief Tony Nwoye easily stands head and shoulders above the other gladiators in the fray. He is by far the most qualified that will bring the myriad of challenges facing the zone to the front burner at the National Assembly and ensure they receive urgent national and international attention.
Unarguably, since the memorable days of Dr. Chuba Okadigbo, Anambra North has lost a strong voice at the Senate. For this singular reason and many others, it has become imperative that someone with a stronger voice, ability and ideas is elected to represent the zone. The Labour Party candidate for Senate, Chief Tony Nwoye is the one. He is a bridge builder whose maturity, humility and astute leadership qualities will ensure that the zone is not neglected in any way. He is gifted in the art of people management since his days as a student union leader and has over the years built strong alliances across the country. These are part of the qualities; a vibrant senator must possess to make an impact at the national assembly.
One may ask, is it not at the same Senate that we have the likes of Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe who was of People’s Democratic Party, (PDP) until lately; but the members of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress, APC, know that he is in the Senate; as he regularly keeps them on their toes and on track over national issues. Is it not at the same Senate that Chief Orji Kalu, was recently voted by a credible organization as the best in terms of Constituency Projects delivery? In our own case in Anambra North, we are only informed about performances and Constituency projects in the social media.
Seriously speaking, Anambra North at the moment is bedeviled with several challenges and needs someone who understands the problem and is ready to face them squarely. Nwoye understands Anambra North and its challenges. His stint at the House of Representatives is still yielding dividends till date. He needs to be given a chance. Above all, he is a part of the current revolution started by Mr. Peter Obi, Nigerians and the Labour Party. Anambra North must key-in, vote Nwoye, so that the glorious days of Chuba Okadigbo’s vibrancy could be re-enacted.
